Overlanding is the only way to see Southern Africa! This fantastic route, taking you on a wonderful overland journey between Zimbabwe's adrenaline hotspot of Victoria Falls and South Africa's iconic city of Cape Town, will give you a deep insight into this amazing continent and take you through some of its amazing highlights and hidden gems. Dragoman have been leading the way in African overland expeditions since 1981, so take advantage of our years of experience and come with us as we include all the must-see attractions as well as heading into the wilds, well away from the usual tourist trail. Nothing can prepare travellers for the beauty of the landscape in Zimbabwe and Botswana. After visiting the mighty Victoria Falls and enjoying some of the area's brilliant optional activities, we travel south to Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park and take a fantastic open-top jeep safari in search of the area's incredible wildlife. We continue to Bulawayo, where we track the elusive rhinos on foot with our expert local guides, as well as learning about the culture and history of the area by visiting the nearby San cave paintings and the grave of Cecil Rhodes. Crossing into northern Botswana, we head for the stunning salt plains of Makgadikgadi Pans and then on to the spectacular scenery of the Okavango Delta, which we explore by mokoro and wild camp on one of its atmospheric islands! We camp at a traditional San village in Botswana before heading for Namibia, where we will head on safari in the phenomenal Etosha National Park, journey through the unbelievable and barren scenery of Spitzkoppe and the Namib Deserts, visit the adventure town of Swakopmund, climb the colossal sand dunes of Sesriem and see the sunset over the breathtaking Fish River Canyon. This incredible trip ends with a journey down the Western Cape of South Africa to the marvellous city of Cape Town on the continent's southern tip. A truly brilliant tour, and the most comprehensive itinerary through the region which does the area much more justice than some of the rushed itineraries of our competitors. Join us for this wonderful African journey!
