  • Day 1: Bangkok - Kanchanaburi

We collect you by bus at New Road Guest House in Bangkok at approximately 08:45. We then drive to Kanchanaburi--around three to four hours--and check in at a local guest house and have lunch. Around 14:00 we ride a boat downriver to Khao Poon Cave. There is a sight-seeing trip that includes the war museum, war cemetery and the bridge over the River Kwai. Dinner is served at the guest house and you can have a half-hour foot massage. The rest of the evening is set aside for free time. You may want to take a swim or sign up for some optional tours or enjoy a massage. (Additional tours/activities are not included in the package price). (L, D)

  • Day 2: Erawan National Park

After breakfast the tour continues to Erawan National Park, where we enjoy the beautiful seven-level waterfall with small lakes on either side. Remember to bring your swimsuit! We will also do the trekking through the tropical forest and bamboo rafting on the river. At some point you will also pass an elephant camp, where you can feed the elephants if you prefer (own expense). After go forward a 30-minute train tour on the Death Railway. Our last stop of the day is the bridge over the River Kwai, where you have about 30 minutes to explore on your own. Return to the guest house at 18:00. (B, L, D)

  • Day 3: Leisure day, Kanchanaburi - Bangkok

This morning is free for you to do as you please. You could borrow a biycle and explore the city (adult bikes only), go swimming, sightseeing, or shopping in the city. Lunch will be served at the guesthouse at 12:00 before the return trip to Bangkok at 13:00. Arrival time approximately 16:00. (B, L)
    Key: B= Breakfast, L= Lunch, D= Dinner

*Go Beyond Asia does not offer tours with elephant riding. In Kanchanaburi and outskirts, you may pass elephant camps and/or be offered elephant riding. This we cannot prevent, but we can (and do) make a conscious choice by avoid sending our travellers on elephant rides. We encourage travellers to make their own conscious choice, while on the go.
