  • Days 1-2 New York Area, Philadelphia & Washington DC

    Start your epic road trip with a journey to Philadelphia, where you can climb the famous 'Rocky' steps for your own movie moment, see the iconic symbols of American independence, the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. America is known for its food, so while in Philly make sure you head to Reading Terminal Market, the selection of food on offer is fab! For the ultimate treat why not devour a famous Philly cheese steak lunch. Then it's onto Washington DC for an introduction to the political, social and cultural history of the USA. Take time to explore the very best of America's capital city by people watching in one of the many green parks. History buffs can get their kicks at the legendary Smithsonian National Museum, the largest museum complex in the world.   • Days 3 Appalachian Mountains

    From the Shenandoah to the lush, natural beauty of the Appalachians - this super-sized, 1500 mile mountain chain is superb for a stretch of the legs. Also home to the American Black Bear and former haunt of the Cherokee Indians, there's time for a short walk in the Appalachians to show you why thousands flock here every year, before continuing on to the Deep South.   • Days 4 Nashville

    Denim and cowboy hats at the ready? Good, 'cause you're in Nashville and that's how they roll! Music flows through the streets and you'll be toe-tapping from the get go in this awesome 'Music City'. Get your history fix at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, home to the largest collection of country music in the world. Nashville is famous for its fine music and even finer food, so try the local specialities including hot chicken and BBQ ribs. Nashville puts on a wicked party, so head to the Grand Ole Opry and dance the night away with your new found line dancing skills. Accommodation: Hostel included

  • Days 5 Memphis

    As the birthplace of blues and jazz there's no shortage of great music to excite your ears. Brush up on your history as you visit the Civil Rights Museum to learn all about the struggle to overcome slavery and see where Martin Luther King was assassinated. Find your American soul with a trip to Stax Museum of American Soul Music. No trip to Memphis is complete without a stroll down Beale Street to see the bright lights and hear the eclectic mix of blues and jazz flowing from every doorway. Finish your visit to Memphis with an optional visit to the second-most visited private home in the USA after the White House, Elvis Presley's house in Graceland. Accommodation: Hotel included

  • Days 6-7 New Orleans

    Next is a city that requires no introduction, New Orleans! The laid back vibes, delicious food and all important Southern charm make this Deep South city one of the highlights of on your all-American road trip! Explore the enchanting French Quarter, ride a steamboat on the Mississippi River, enjoy traditional jazz at Preservation Hall or sample a 'Hurricane' cocktail at Pat O'Brien's! For a really authentic Southern experience check out a 'Voodoo and Graveyard' tour or brush up on your cooking skills at the New Orleans School of Cooking and cook up a big ole' bowl of gumbo!
