The sound of the wind in your ears and the feeling of freedom is encompassing as you zipline through the treetop canopy. And your stomach spurs with excitement as you abseil down the mountain slopes, cross river streams, venture down flushing water falls. Vang Vieng is as designed for curious travellers. Equals adrenalin and adventure at its finest.
Then off you are towards great lakes and mountains high. To urban life in Vientiane. Bike through the rice fields. Kayak the rivers and let your senses fully take in the last bit of Laos. A land full of smiles, adventure and generosity. A land that truly is beyond the Ordinary.

Accommodation: 7 x nights accommodation in comfortable hotels/guesthouses, bamboo hut and overnight train
Transport: Overland transport Luang Prabang - Vang Vieng - Vientiane (Via Nam Ngum lake), transfer from Vang Vieng bus station to accommodation. Bicycle & Kayak in Vientiane. Overnight train from Nong Khai to Bangkok.
Others/Activities: 2 Days/1 Night Vang Vieng Challenge, visit to Nam Ngum Lake, and bicycle and kayak trip in Vientiane.

There is no overall guide on the tour. There will be drivers who speak limited English and English-speaking tour guide on the above trips mentioned. There will be people to help you at transportation/connection points and local representative offices.

  • Day 1: Twisty mountain roads and beautiful views as you go from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng Begin your trip by heading south from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng.

    Your bus will depart after lunchtime and head through some beautiful twisty mountain roads which are home to many incredible views.
    The journey to Vang Vieng is around 7 Hours where we will arrive Vang Vieng in the early evening. Upon arrival at the bus station you will be collected and transferred to your accommodation where the evening if left free for you to relax in anticipation of the next two days of adventure! (B)

  • Day 2: Vang Vieng Challenge – ??Via Ferrata' and abseiling in waterfall.

    Sleep at the mountain
    The real adventure starts today! Go for a ??real' trek, descend steep mountain slopes using steel cables to safely hold you, rise to the challenge of a dare-devil ??abseiling' in a 30 m waterfall, and cross the mind-blowing ??via ferrata'! This adventurous climb will ultimately reward you with incredible views from the top of the limestone mountain.

    You will be collected from your hotel and drive only a short distance from Vang Vieng by truck before starting the trek by heading through rice paddy fields to the bottom of the karsts range. From here we then begin climbing up the mountain. Along the way we'll take a rest for picnic lunch. After lunch it is time to continue onwards until arriving at the peak of the mountain where dinner is served at the camp on top of the mountain which is also where you will stay overnight overlooking Vang Vieng and the beautiful surrounding scenery.   • Day 3: Vang Vieng Challenge – abseiling in waterfall and zipline down the mountain Today begins with an early morning.

    After enjoying breakfast on top of the mountain we continue onwards climbing further up for a short while to the top of the waterfall.... From here it's time to turn around and head down. We start off by abseiling down the waterfall. From the bottom of the waterfall it is time to continue onwards descending the mountain via a selection of exciting zip lines. A delicious packed lunch is enjoyed along the way after which it is time to carry on zip lining until arriving at the foot of the mountain. From here we trek the short distance back to the awaiting truck which will take us the short distance back in to Vang Vieng where we arrive between 16.00 to 17.00 hrs. Once back in the town; you will be taken back to your accommodation where the remainder of the day is left free for you to relax and refresh after the adventure! (B,L)

  • Day 4: Free Day in Vang Vieng – tube the river or soak in the Blue Lagoon

    Enjoy a free day in Vang Vieng. Why not take a trip to the famous blue lagoon or perhaps spend the day floating down the Nam Song River in a tube, one of the activities which Vang Vieng is most famous for! You will be given a small map to help you navigate around the town but apart from that you are left free to do as you please. (B)

Child Age: • Infant - 0 to 5 years old are free of charge when travelling and sharing bed with parents • Child - 6 to 11 Years old pay child prices Please be aware of: · The Vang Vieng Challenge is more difficult in the wet season due the muddy trails and high river levels etc.. It is not recommended for Children under 10 years old during this time of year. · The cycling in Vientiane can be muddy during the wet season and the flow of the river fast during this time also.

All year apart from the dates as mentioned above. In northern Laos the rainy season fromMay until October can bring heavy and regular rainfall. The best time to visit is from Nov - Feb when it is dry and temperatures are at their lowest around at around 20-25 degrees. At nighttimes the temperatures can fall to lower than 10 Degrees in December and January whereas From Mar to May the temperature can rise to above 40 degrees!
