  • Itinerary

Start off your trip by visiting the modern neighborhoods of San Isidro and Miraflores where young contemporary Limeños live. Here you can see the Olive Grove Park, the San Isidro Golf Course and the Financial Center. You will also go by the ancient side of Lima at the archaeological site of Huaca Pucllana built in the fourth century B.C. as a ceremonial and administrative center for the Inca. This may be your first introduction to the impressive culture of the Incas, the ancient rulers of a vast empire. Take your time to enjoy the panoramic views of this pyramid-shaped Inca sanctuary on the Peruvian coast. Relax at Larco Mar with an ice-cream overlooking the Pacific Ocean or take a walk along the Cliffside love park (Parque del Amor) where you can see surfers and beach-goers enjoying their time in the water.

Continue your trip to immerse yourself in the historical city center, the most important city of Spanish-Colonial Peru. It has been identified as Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1991. Wander down narrow cobblestone streets with colonial buildings built in the Moorish style to reach the Plaza Mayor and Plaza San Martin, a large park enclosed by colonial buildings famous for beautiful landmarks. See the Palacio del Gobierno, Palacio Municipal as well as the Basilica Catedral, Palacio Arzobispal and the Desamparados Train Station.

In the convent of San Francisco you can take a tour through the choir room, library, sacristy and admire the largest collection of South American religious art with pieces from Zurbaran and Rivera. In the huge patio of Claustro Pincipal you can see the well-preserved sixteenth-century Spanish tile, Moorish arches and catacombs.

Finally, the tour ends leaving you with two options- either to your hotel or to explore the Indian Market, Larcomar Mall perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean with privileged views.
