  • 1 Week Example

The following is an example of what a normal week could look like at the surf camp.

  • Day 1

Arrival day. Check in at the Surf Camp and go for a dip in the ocean, go for a walk or simply just chill at the camp and enjoy the pool.

  • Day 2

In Costa Rica an early start is the best way to get the best waves. The wind usually picks up for a few hours during the day, so the best surfing is in the morning and late afternoon. We wake up around 07:00 and have a light breakfast. At 08:00 we start the lesson. You will be assigned to your instructor and divided into groups depending on your level of surfing. Once at the beach the class will start with an equipment safety introduction and then we will start working on paddling and pop-ups. These are the basics of surfing a wave. After 2.5 hours our brunch will be waiting for you at the camp. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, surf some more or do whatever you feel like.

  • Day 3

Early start, lesson, brunch. Relax for a few hours and then try the yoga session to stretch out your tired body. If you still have energy, join us for a sunset surf in the afternoon. At 18:30 we are back at the camp and it's time to get ready for dinner. This is indeed paradise!

  • Day 4

Early start and then a lesson, by now you are feeling comfortable with the board and the waves. The more waves you catch the faster you will develop. Every day there are new things to learn. Brunch, some afternoon activities and then dinner.

Optional Activities: Visit Montezuma waterfall and town on the other side of the peninsula. Visit the infinity pool in Mal Pais and enjoy the great ocean view and cold drinks in the pool bar. Go snorkling on the beach or ride quads in the jungle and up the empty beaches up north. Costa Rica has one of the most diverse rainforests in the world and a visit to Cabo Blanco natural reserve is a must - the first natural reserve in Costa Rica has some spectacular views and a lot of amazing animals.

The camp is situated on top of a hill, overlooking the regional classic surf spot, Roca Mar (Suck rock). It is surrounded by lush rainforest, with an endless view to Manzanillo in the south and Playa Hermosa in the north. Our villa has an open air design, six bedrooms and a living room with many facilities including a big lounge and a projector set-up. Outside you can enjoy hammocks and lounges in and out of the sun, and minilounges between the dorms. The villa is blessed with cooling afternoon breeze coming off the ocean, flowing straight through the rainforest up the hill to soothe your soul.
