Day 1 – Arrive Rainbow Beach
Arrive at Rainbow Beach at any time. Overnight hostel accommodation included, dinner tonight is at own expense.
Day 2 – Rainbow Beach
Spend today however you wish – chill out by the pool, walk up to the Carlo Sandblow and check out the amazing coloured sands, swim at the beach or find an adventure activity to do, from kayaking with the dolphins, surfing, skydiving or hand feeding the dolphins on the daily cruise - there’s a lot on offer.
At 2pm you will need to attend the ‘Follow the Rainbow’ safety briefing (compulsory for all travellers). You’ll see a video featuring the Fraser Island’s highlights, receive an itinerary with map and tide times and get lots of information to ensure you have the maximum fun as safely as possible. There’s also some driver training covering vehicle safety and how to drive on soft sand. Overnight hostel accommodation included, dinner tonight is at own expense.
Day 3 – Rainbow Beach to Fraser Island
It’s an early start to pack your bags, food and camping equipment into the 4-wheel drives. Then it’s off to the ferry for the 10 minute transfer to Fraser Island and the start of your camping adventure. After checking out the local highway known as 75 Mile Beach, other highlights today may include Central Station and Lake McKenzie. At the end of the day set up camp and cook a healthy and delicious dinner. (LD)
Day 4 – Fraser Island
After breakfast at camp, today you may see Eli Creek, the Maheno ship wreck, the coloured sands at The Pinnacle, Indian Head and Champagne Pools. You are sure to find another beautiful camping location tonight. (BLD)
Day 5 – Fraser Island to Rainbow Beach
Highlights today may include Rainbow Gorge and a hike through rainforest to Lake Wabby. In the afternoon you’ll make your way back to the ferry and return to the mainland and Rainbow Beach. Accommodation is included tonight again at Frasers on Rainbow. (BL)
Day 6 – Depart Rainbow Beach
Your adventure finishes this morning when you check out of your accommodation. Feel free to store your luggage in our free luggage store until you depart Rainbow Beach.
